There are two types of traineeships to undertake

 

 

 

 

New Entrant Trainee Existing Worker
  • a full-time employee who has been employed for less than three months

  • a part-time employee (working 15 hours or more per week) but employed for less than 12 months

Eligibility:

  • can be of any age (including mature age adults)

  • normally available to those without prior qualifications

  • can be a family member or friend

Duration

  • Full-time employee - 1 to 2 years

  • Part-time employee - up to 4 years

Training delivery

  • Distance learning

  • Flexible work-based

Cost

A nominal administration fee is payable in most States.  The employer can also claim other incentives.

Certificate III in Business

Certificate IV in Business

Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management)

a full-time employee who has been employed for over three months.

a part-time employee who has been employed for over 12 moths.

Eligibility

  • can be of any age (including mature age adults)

  • normally available to those without prior qualifications

  • can be a family member or friend

Duration

  • Full-time employee - 2 years

  • Part-time employee - up to 4 years

Training delivery

 

Distance learning, although workshops and visits may be provided.

 

Cost

The employer enters into an agreement and Commonwealth incentives may be available if eligible.
